Have you heard about the x-ray machines they want to install on the streets of London to filter out “terrorists”?
I am reminded of the words of Sir A. B. Cunningham, the admiral in command of the British Mediterranean fleet during WWII. When criticized for risking his ships in what seemed at the time a futile operation - the evacuation of troops following the German airborne assault on Crete – the admiral replied: “It takes the navy three years to build a new ship. It will take three hundred years to build a new tradition.”
To paraphrase Cunningham, a London subway station can easily be repaired. It may take longer to rebuild a European democratic tradition - democratic in the real sense of the word, not the bubble gum version that comes wrapped in a dollar bill these days.
Yes, and the way to make those x-ray cameras respectable, is to 'make sure that only women surveil women'. Rest assured that your tits will nly be ogled by unformed chicks? What?
'bout time.
