Update: Iran still a very bad place

And just when you thought structural & methodic repression of women couldn't get more obvious, along comes the case of Nazanin Mahabad Fatehi. She's an 18-year old Iranian girl who has been sentenced to death by hanging. Her crime was killing one of the men who were trying to rape her. Now, if she had gone ahead and just let herself be raped, she, thereby being a filthy whore, could have been sentenced for extramarital sex and received up to 100 lashes. It's Catch-22 with hijabs and full beards.
