Ghosts of Bush of Ghosts

Hmm, I keep stumbling over Brian Eno's name this week. In 1981 David Byrne (of Talking Heads) and Brian Eno recorded an album called My Life in the Bush of Ghosts. Now, they've made the entire multitracks of the original recordings available online under a creative commons license. So the enterprising member of the remix generation can cut and paste; sample, resample, edit and change at will, and recombine the album or songs or just samples on it in the manner in which they see fit. They've made a site where you can upload your remixes and edits. Very cool, and very modern of them. I get the feeling that this sort of thinking is an important step towards being an interesting musical artist today.
