A list of reasons why blogging lists is just a really dumb thing to do:

1. For God's sake, you should never write what you think other people want to read. You shouldn't make things easy on your reader, you should be writing what you want to write. Don't start putting formal experiments in there on the grounds that people will want to link to that. It's not a popularity contest.
