Blogroll
Added a bunch of new blogs to my long-neglected sidebar. Some that are on my "daily" list, others that I check in on every now and again.
Other neglected projects I will complete as soon as I find the time:
- Finishing my halfway-done redesign of the blog. (Going so long between projects means having to re-learn parts of what I already knew about CSS.)
- Publishing Chapter 2 of the MA thesis summary (it's almost there).
- Thinking about whether I should use bullet points more often. Probably not. It feels icky.
- Learning how to ice-skate. In fact, I think I'll go do that right now, on my new ice-skates.

but this is odd: you've lived in norway how long? I thought all you norske had to pass an ice skating exam in primary school...
(yeah. I know. lame. kinda like folks thinking I must *really* know how to ski since I grew up in colorado.)
Summaries are nice and all, but why isn't your thesis up @ https://bora.uib.no/? I already disagree with everything you've written, without having read a word of it.
Also, it's filed with a spelling error in Bibsys: “essaystisk” for “essayistisk”. Look it up (and complain about it, unless the error is your own).
Suttonhoo: Very little ice in Bergen, because it never freezes for long enough. My ice-skating exam mostly involved falling on my ass a few times in primary school.
kjtl: Honestly, it's mostly because I forgot to sign the paper and mail it in. Also, a part of me doesn't want the document up for all to see, because... well, this is embarassing and unprofessional, and I should be denying it in public, but I sent the wrong file to the printer. I created the final PDF file from the document of the finished MA thesis *before* proof-reading. I've never made a stupid mistake like that before, and I probably never will again, but I did for the MA thesis. Luckily I make very few spelling msitkaes while typing, so it was mostly ok, but there are some very bad wordings I had fixed, a few errors of grammar and punctuation and most embarrassing: one paragraph ends in mid-sentence. So thanks for the heads-up on the spelling error - I assure you it isn't mine, but it's not alone.
Re: you disagreeing with me. I have already elegantly dismissed your woefully inadequate criticism even before having read a word of it.
any chance you will post the rest of your ma thesis? i am super-interested...
Oh, right. I forgot about that. Well, it's been a long time, so I think maybe not, since it would take a lot of time I don't have. But I might publish the Norwegian version as a PDF sometime.
Anything in particular you wanted to know?
You really had a lot of things to do then, Martin. Well, I do hope you have the time to do all of it, and from the looks of it you really need them, especially on the MA thesis. It would be thesis ideas to have time writing it so that you would immediately finish it.
