I actually went to a futuristic dinner party once where this - enjoyed in a separate room with the "waiter" - was one of the courses. The airplane propeller was unfortunately just one of those personal fans.

As a former waitress I have to say I'm more sympathetic to basic dining. Whatever happened to "I used to order just to watch her float across the floor"?
As a former waiter and as a current not-a-fascist, I too am more sympathetic to basic dining. But it should be noted that there was great class equality in this case: the waiter was one of the hosts.
