Wow, strong story: George Takei, best known as Lt. Sulu on Star Trek, is going to marry his life-partner after California's Supreme Court just overturned a ban on gay marriage.
The reason I think that's such a strong story is that as a child, Takei was interned in a US concentration camp, as were many other Japanese-Americans. So he grew up having less rights than everyone else because of his ethnicity, then he had less rights than everyone else because of his sexual preference, but he is probably going to die with equal rights as other citizens.
